You can officially delete all of the key art for Scott Adkins’ WWII war flick as Well Go USA has officially switched up the title for what was once known as Death March. The movie will now be known as Prisoner of War, and we have new promotional teaser key art, which looks exactly like the old one, for the movie. Scroll below for the goods!

The name change comes with the announcement that Well Go USA will release Prisoner of War this September so here’s hoping that a trailer hits relatively soon.
The movie hails from Adkins’ Debt Collector co-star Louis Mandylor. Directing the film, Mandylor is no stranger to action having starred in several action vehicles throughout the years and recently has seen him putting his talents behind the camera.
Adkins stars as a POW forced to fight to the death by his Japanese captors in brutal Bloodsport style matches and the film was acquired last year by Well Go USA. The script was penned by Marc Clebanoff from an idea that was conceived by Adkins and the film promises to contain plenty of the action star’s signature action design. Scroll below for a first look at a new teaser poster featuring Adkins ready to rumble and once again, just like the initial poster, keep in mind that this is sales art for distribution circumstances and not the final Well Go USA art.
The official plot for Prisoner of War, formally known as Death March, reads: A British airman washes ashore after being ejected from his plane and becomes a prisoner in a Japanese-run POW camp. While waiting to join the infamous Bataan death march, the airman is tortured by the camp commander and is forced to fight for his life against an array of skilled Japanese warriors. Adkins portrays the airman. Veteran actor Peter Shinkoda (I, Robot, Daredevil) plays the camp commander. (Per Deadline)
The film boasts a sensational international ensemble cast including Michael Copon (As Good as Dead, Power Rangers: Time Force), Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (3 Days in Malay, The Equalizer 2), Michael Rene Walton (Reptile), Gary Cairns (The Channel, Justified), Action icon Sho Kosugi’s son Shane Kosugi (Nine Deaths of the Ninja), Masanori Mimoto (Baby Assassins, Hydra) and Gabbi Garcia (Unbreak My Heart).
Besides being a full throttle blood and knuckles action pic, Death March is also based on the true story of “the most notorious in WWII history, a forced march of some 60,000 Filipino and 15,000 U.S. prisoners of war following the Japanese victory at the Battle of Bataan. It has been reported that 20,000 men died during the 65-mile trek to Camp O’Donnell and thousands more died on arrival at their destination.” This means that there will be a lot of heavy-handed drama to accompany the bone breaking action sequences to immerse the audience in a true war film experience. Action films these days are trying to bring high octane action that means something and involves characters that viewers will become invested in, and this film sounds like it will fit perfectly in with that agenda.
Adkins is officially one of, if not the, hardest working actor in action cinema as he has a host of films on the horizon that are either in the can are in production, post-production or pre-production. Adkins is set to also star in Kickboxer: Armageddon with franchise and action star Alain Moussi and martial arts icon Mark Dacascos. It was also announced a while back that Scott will headline the new action-thriller Breaking Cover reteaming him with his Legacy of Lies Director Adrian Bol. Add One Last Fight from director Isaac Florentine and co-starring Djimon Hounsou as well as Skyline: Warpath from filmmaker Liam O’Donnell which reunites him with his Triple Threat co-star Iko Uwais, the crime-thriller Reckless, and Day of Reckoning which hits theaters on March 28th.
Let’s not forget Diablo, which promises to be one of the best action/martial arts films this year. Adkins was quoted as saying, “Are you ready for the best martial arts action film of 2025?!!” further establishing that this one is looking to curb your appetite for insane and gravity defying action design. Marko Zaror star with Adkins once again on that one.
If all those films weren’t enough to push the pedal to the metal for Adkins infused excitement, there is also the recently announced One Last Fight which reunites Adkins with director Isaac Florentine and co-stars Djimon Hounsou. The action icon is also set to star with none other than Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in the Joe Carnahan directed thriller RIP. Adkins overload is in full effect right now. RIP sees Adkins starring as the brother to Affleck’s character in a tale of cops, robbers and mayhem.
I think that covers it. I’m exhausted so Lock N Load for 2025 or what is also called the Year of Adkins!
