This trailer was unexpected but certainly welcoming as Scott Adkins is going all bad for his latest actioner titled Day of Reckoning. Adkins wants his wife back in a big way and he’s willing to do whatever it takes which puts him at war with Billy Zane’s US Marshall. Check out the latest Scott Adkins thriller below as he goes rogue!
Official Synopsis: On the verge of losing his wife and his job as sheriff, put-upon lawman John Dorsey reluctantly teams up with bullish U.S. Marshall Butch Hayden to hold outlaw Emily Rusk hostage. A battle of wills ensues as Emily turns the posse on themselves, but as her marauding husband and his gang approach, Emily and John realize they will need each other to survive.
Day of Reckoning is set to hit theaters exclusive and it’s a welcome sight to see Adkins go rogue as he’s been playing the hero a lot as of late. Zane can never turn in a bad performance so here’s hopping Adkins is let loose as he will undoubtedly lay waste to many in this one.
Adkins stars as Kyle Rusk with Zane playing Marshall Butch Hayden in the pic. Adkins is described as a violent husband who is the leader of a bank robbing biker gang so I’m sure he had a lot of fun with it and will get savage in the fight sequences. This one has a reversal of fortune vibe here as it resonates a little of Close Range which starred Adkins as the anti-hero. Now he’s in the other side of one hell of a house invasion so expect mass destruction, a healthy barrage of bullets and some hyper-fierce CQB action.
Along with Adkins and Zane, other cast members include Zach as Sheriff John Dorsey, Cara Jade Myers as Emily Rusk, country singer and actor Trace Adkins as Big Buck and Travis Hammer as Nash. Travis J. Opgenorth penned the screenplay which sees Shaun Silva helming.
Day of Reckoning hits theaters exclusively on March 28th!
