Get ready to dip those wrapped fists in resin and broken glass one more time as we have official confirmation that the delayed Kickboxer: Armageddon is definitely ready to center the ring and will start shooting this spring. To go along with the news, it is also being confirmed that the third entry in the Kickboxer reboot franchise has landed at Warner Bros. Home Entertainment for distribution with martial arts action icon Mark Dacascos joining the cast which includes returning action star Alain Moussi and fellow martial arts action icon Scott Adkins. I’ll give you a minute to digest all this…
Alright, moving on…
Dimitri Logothetis (Gunner) who produced the first two and helmed the second entry will indeed direct the final installment and produce again as well along with Rob Hickman and Joel Shapiro. With cameras set to roll this spring, no release date is set but plan on the film to hit sometime in 2026.

The plot for the latest film remains intact and it involves Moussi returning as lethal fighter Kurt Sloane who is on a kill mission to find those that killed his wife. His search leads him to the fierce and deadly Thai underground fighting circuit where he runs into the sadistic Cesare (Adkins) who is a formidable martial arts master and leader of a ruthless cult. Sloane now finds him in the fight of his life as he must battle Cesare and his legion of skilled warriors.
Unfortunately, it would appear that Jean-Claude Van Damme, who starred in the original 1988 film that spawned four sequels and also in the first two reboot flicks will not be around this time. Many fans will cry foul that JCVD is no longer involved but I have a feeling that’s why they enlisted Dacascos to step in and probably serve as an ally to Sloane as he navigates the Thai fighting underground. I’d bet money on it. Subsequently, Dacascos is a returning franchise star as well as he starred in the pseudo-sequel Redemption: Kickboxer 5 back in the 90’s.
Last year saw Logothetis starting a crowd funding campaign to help keep creative control of Kickboxer: Armageddon so we shall see how that all works out but with Warner Bros. stepping in for distributions, this one should have a nice budget to encompass some savage action design for Moussi, Adkins and Dacascos to be involved with. At any rate, Sloane’s final fight with Cesare should be worth the price of admission alone as the two are elite extreme onscreen fighters with some sick signature skills.
Lock n Load and stay tuned for more to follow!
