Action icon Scott Adkins is hard at work per usual as he is currently filming a new thriller titled Reckless which sees Adkins doing the anti-hero thing as he plays a thief trying to outwit a legion of law enforcement and other elements on his journey to find his stolen stash of loot. Per Adkins requirements, this newest notch in his film arsenal will definitely supply the ample butt kicking and fierce action design that the action star is known for to his legions of fans.
To keep us updated on the progress of shooting his newest adrenaline laced piece of celluloid, Adkins has shared a devastating new image of himself executing another flawless kick aimed at another unfortunate stuntman. Peek at the latest high kicking pic below!
Adkins stated in the post, “Just another day at the office – Reckless – coming soon,” putting any fears to rest that the action phenom wouldn’t display any of his serious, sick, signature skills in the film. What makes Adkins one of the premiere action stars working today is that he always gives the fans what they want while at the same time doing something different with the characters he plays and the storylines.
Official Synopsis: A former convict on parole must outwit the police to get his share of an old heist.
Adkins announced the new film on social media to much acclaim. Elliot Montello makes his directorial debut and helms the pic from a script penned by Matthew Robert Kelly and ongoing Adkins collaborator Stu Small. Veteran martial arts talent and actor Mark Strange who was recently seen in Hounds of War and Kung Fu Games also has a role in the pic so expect massive action design with signature Adkins choreography to entice fans to watch this one upon release.
Mark Strange (Ip Man 4: The Finale, Avengement), Adam Deacon (Righteous Villains), Kris Johnson (Undercover Hooligan), Jordan Long (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Kirsty J. Curtis (Rise of the Footsoldier: Vengeance). Daniel Fathers (Transporter TV series), Sarina Taylor (The Necromancer) and Susan Twist (Doctor Who) round out the ensemble cast.
Diablo looks to be as advertised with even Adkins stating in our recent exclusive interview that this movie will blow fans away with the action. That one reunites Adkins with fellow martial arts phenom Marko Zaror. With the other aforementioned films, 2025 is shaping up to be another stellar year for the action icon and his legions of fans.
Reckless is being represented by Red Sea Media for a 2025 launch and was also present at this year’s American Film Market for distribution considerations.
