The IMDb has updated Scott Adkins’ filmography arsenal and Death March, which reunites the action star with his Debt Collector confident Louis Mandylor who is directing, has been added to the actor’s slate of upcoming films. With the addition, we now have an official synopsis which bodes well for martial arts action fans as well as a supporting cast which sees Adkins acting alongside icon Sho Kosugi’s son Shane Kosugi (9 Deaths of the Ninja). The additional cast is a stacked one as it also features MMA bad boy Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone who also starred with Mandylor’s other WWII directorial effort 3 Days in Malay. Scroll below for more intel on Adkins’ latest actioner now in production in The Philippines!
In Death March, which may see a title change as Adkins alluded to on social media, sees the action icon starring as SAS officer James Wright who is captured by the Japanese during WWII and forced to fight in brutal hand to hand matches. Additional cast includes Michael Copon, a fellow Power Ranger and star of the recent Michael Jai White action-thriller As Good as Dead as well as Peter Shinkoda (Godzilla, The Predator), Michael Rene Walton as Beard, Gary Cairns as Jonesy, Gabbi Garcia as Theresa, and Masanori Mimoto, who is a force in onscreen martial arts action, as Captain Endo. Mimoto is best known to western audiences having appeared in Baby Assassins and Hydra. Kosugi will play the character of Hirano while Cerrone will portray Captain Collins.
A BTS image of Adkins was released last week which (which you can see below) showcases the star in what appears to be a Karate Dojo so hopefully we will get a little Dojo action from the main man like we did in Ninja 2. Mandylor is a force in indie action cinema and now we can add behind the camera threat as well as the actor is killing it as a director with 3 Days in Malay being one of the best indie actioners of last year. The script was penned by Marc Clebanoff.

Adkins and Mandylor have worked well together in front of the camera, having appeared in films such as filmmaker Jesse V Johnson’s 2018 crime thriller The Debt Collector, 2019’s Avengement (which happens to be one of Adkins’ best acting gigs besides being a ferocious action film), and 2020’s The Debt Collectors. The two action aces will also appear together once again in director Liam O’Donnell’s upcoming Skyline franchise entry Skyline: Warpath. Mandylor has 8 directing credits notched on his belt so the versatile actor is putting together a solid career in directing as well as starring in action films.
Aside from this film, which is not on Adkins or Mandylor’s IMDb pages, Mandylor also has the action films Operation Blood Hunt (starring himself along with Jonathon Rhys Myers and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson) and Smokers to add to his directing arsenal. Adkins will, of course, also be seen in September’s The Killer’s Game with Dave Bautista as well as Take Cover, the aforementioned Skyline: Warpath with Iko Uwais, and Diablo which reunites him with Marko Zaror. If that wasn’t enough, Adkins will also be going one on one with martial arts action star Alain Moussi in the final installment of director Dimitri Logothetis’ Kickboxer reboot franchise Kickboxer: Armageddon!
Adkins teased Death March recently on social media saying that the title could also be Empty Hand or POW as he jokingly states that he has lost all of his John Wick 4 weight. Personally, I think Mr. Mandylor should choose the title Empty Hand for the movie as it looks to be the best fit for the plot and what will transpire in terms of extreme combat action design. We shall see. Check out Adkins’ recent post on Instagram below!
Death March, like I said, is now in production so Lock N Load right here for more Intel to come including more images, footage and more as we are your destination for your Action Fix and everything Scott Adkins!!!
In the meantime, check out the trailer for Mandylor’s WWII epic 3 Days in Malay and see what he can do in front of and behind the camera!!!
