D23 is wrapping up tonight but not without a collective bang from marvel Studios! The studio unleashed a brand-new look at Avengers: Doomsday as tickets also went on sale today but not to be outdone, they also announced major casting news for the highly anticipated X-Men film. Scroll below for the official reveals including Indie Naverette and Adam Driver!
Inde Navarrette was rumored to be in the film for a while but many thought that she would be playing Mystique. That is not the case however as the hot new actress will officially be playing Rogue in the reboot for the MCU. With Navarrette’s casting confirmed at D23, we also got word that Adam Driver, will be playing the film’s main baddie Mr. Sinister. Also, Kraven the Hunter star Christopher Abbott will be is the new Charles Xavier, while Maya Boyd is going to have big shoes to fill as she will be the new Storm. the character was, of course, played by Halle Berry during the Fox X-Men run.
The new additions join Sadie Sink who is Jean Grey as she made her debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day as well as Kit Connor as Cyclops and Ready or Not’s Samara Weaving as Emma Frost.
There will most likely be more cast announcements later as Magneto, Wolverine and other favorites will surely be put into the mutant mix. Until next time…stay tuned true believers!
