“Always bet on White! Michael Jai White!” That’s right, action and martial arts icon Michael Jai White is back and doing what he does best in the new action-thriller Drive Through Fire! White is all action and all fisticuffs as he plays a cop taking out human traffickers with his signature and lethal skill set…and a few well-placed bullets as well. Quiver Distribution is readying a September launch for the film, and we have the exclusive trailer and poster below!
Drive Through Fire follows Jason, a disgraced veteran battling opioid addiction, who discovers a woman is being trafficked during a rideshare trip. After killing a corrupt congressman to free her, Jason becomes the target of traffickers, the Russian mob, and law enforcement. As a homicide detective covers for him, the violence escalates, leading to a desperate rescue mission and a final showdown with the criminal network.
White stars alongside Dan Bakkedahl, Jim Carlson and Jennifer Bond in the new thriller that tackles the vile world of human trafficking. Carlson not only stars in the film but he co-directed it with Lauen Bond as well as wrote the script.
TRAILER TACTICAL REACTION: A new Michael Jai White film is always cause for celebration here at Action-Flix and here White is doing what he does best, and the trailer shows off ample amounts of the icon taking out the trash and deploying his sick skill set on the baddies. White has one of the strongest screen presences in action cinema or any cinema for that matter and he brings the pain whether he stars or is supporting. Drive Through Fire looks to be a gritty and stripped-down indie actioner that infuses hard edged action sequences together with the human emotion and drama and although the subject matter is heavy and timely, it’s always good to see vile villains like this get their deserved comeuppance. Who better than the elite of action cinema to do it in Michael Jai White!
