Tell me the truth. That’s the most insane headline you’ve read all year and maybe in forever right? Well it’s not a misprint and sadly no Bruce Lee is not back and he will definitely not be rescuing Chuck Norris for real but it is the plot for a film called The Dragon Returns from producer and director Romeo Candido. I have to say that I’m intrigued and will try to find out as much as I can on this project. Plus it’s a slow news day to boot.
To make it even more legit, the article that I found it in is none other than Deadline and it appears that the film will be part of IFFAM Project Market (IPM) during the International Film Festival & Awards Macao, which will be held on December 3rd through the 8th and it will be virtual of course. The Dragon Returns will be one of several movies that will be up for cash awards and I sure hope that we get some footage soon of this.
According to Deadline, The Dragon Returns, is a film in which Bruce Lee is brought back from his staged death and retirement to save his old friend Chuck Norris from imprisonment. How’s that for a plot? Unfortunately, we do not have any other 411 on the movie so we will have to wait patiently for all that but it’s definitely on my radar. I’m really interested to see who stars in this and plays the two iconic roles. Ideas anyone?
Personally I’m quite offended as Norris is a god to me and he’s the Delta Force. He doesn’t need rescuing because he’s the one who does the rescuing but if he ever did need it, Lee would be the man. This has the makings of bring one of the most awesomely bad good movies ever and it should have a retro throwback feel to it or I’m not watching lol.
