It seems like an eternity since we said goodbye to Hawaii 5-O on CBS and even then, Daniel Dae Kim had exited the series a few seasons prior due to contract disputes. It was unfortunate as Kim was a solid and legit staple of the show since it premiered in 2010 and resonated definite action street cred in the show’s many high-octane sequences. For fans of the genre star who is a favorite amongst die hard action and fantasy enthusiasts, Kim is back in the driver’s seat and he’s headlining Amazon MGM and Prime Video’s upcoming spy thriller show titled Butterfly.
New key art and images have surfaced online for the series showcasing Kim in ultra-action hero glory and his supporting cast. A trailer is soon to hit but in the meantime, check out the first look pics and poster below!

Butterfly is filled filled with intrigue, suspense, espionage and bullet infused action with Kim taking aim and the lead here. The series is a live action adaptation of the popular 2015 graphic novel from Arash Amel.
The series is a character-driven spy thriller that explores complex family dynamics within the treacherous world of global espionage. It’s centered on David Jung, an enigmatic, highly unpredictable former US intelligence operative living in South Korea, whose life is blown to pieces when the consequences of an impossible decision from his past come back to haunt him, and he finds himself pursued by Rebecca, a deadly, sociopathic young agent assigned to kill him, and Caddis, the sinister spy organization she works for.
Along with the adrenaline worthy poster debut above, Prime has also unveiled a slew of new images highlighting the cast which includes South Korean actors Kim Tae-hee (Stairway to Heaven, Hi Bye Mama!), Park Hae-soo (Squid Game, Money Heist: Korea), Sung Dong-il (Reply 1988), Lee Il-hwa (Reply 1997), and Kim Ji-hoon (Money Heist: Korea).
The series also features a solid international cast including Piper Perabo, Reina Hardesty, Sean Dulake, Charles Parnell, and Nayoon Kim.
