There are sometimes, just sometimes, when you need an action movie to rain blood from beginning to end which will satisfy your inner cravings for onscreen punishment and action design that is so fierce and relentless, that you’ll feel like you’ve dropped right into the middle of the movie. Well, get excited because India is answering your call for all things bloodbath and barbaric with Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s action offering simply titled Kill. If you saw the trailer that was released awhile back, then you’ll realize that this movie needs nothing more in its title as Kill pretty much sums up what you’re going to get for 2 hours. Lakshya is literally throwing his hat into the ring for contender for the next big thing in action cinema as he goes full-on one-man beast mode dispatching a legion of assailants in the most gruesome fashion on a moving train with nothing more than his hands, knives and sheer determination to stay alive.
Lionsgate is releasing the film in North America and if you thought the trailer was deliciously hyper-violent then by all means check out the new clip which is the kind of clip you should release for an action film to properly pump up your desired audience. I’ll stop talking now and let the video below dazzle you with more violence and blood-soaked chaos that you can shake a knife at!
See, I wasn’t lying, was I? The above clip just further proves that this movie is going to be all kinds of bat shit crazy and the bloodier the better. How many stabbings and neck breaks can you have in one movie? Well buckle up buttercup, because we are about to find out when the movie hits next month!
Lionsgate has also released new key art which shows of the film’s star Lakshya readying to run the gauntlet, and this is the kind of poster that will make you want to see what the film has to offer.

When army commando Amrit (Lakshya) finds out his true love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani (Raghav Juyal) begin to terrorize innocent passengers on his train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him — turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride.
Tanya Maniktala stars alongside Lakshya along with Raghav Juyal, Abhishek Chauhan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Adrija Sinha, Harsh Chhaya, and Parth Tiwari. Really though, who cares who’s in this movie because it’s all about the savage fight action and design that takes CQB to another level.
As foreign action films go, most fans gravitate towards Asia to get their adrenaline fix but India is still making its case for putting out high quality ultra-action with films that contain the most insane set pieces imaginable. The action scenes in Indian movies literally chew up the screen with jaw dropping, gravity defying sequences that out a lot of other films to shame.
The film is notable for being Bollywood’s first foray into this kind of high-octane action genre franchise. The film’s lead Lakshya, who portrays a commando soldier fighting to protect a train full of innocent passengers from dangerous robbers, stars in a breakout performance that can help launch him into a noted action star in India and beyond.
Two highly trained commandos against army of bloodthirsty killers in brutal CQB action? Yes please! With action choreography by Se-yeong Oh and Parvez Shaikh, this one promises to be brutal and savage with some of the most ferocious fight action ever captured on film. Sounds utterly delicious to me. I’m really looking forward to checking this one out as I had the opportunity last year, but it fell through due to my life always getting in the way. No worries, I plan to rectify this post haste. Plus, there’s no dance numbers to get in the way on this one with just unflinching slicing and dicing to satisfy genre fans.
2024 has been a stellar year for action cinema with notable entries like The Beekeeper and Land of Bad proving that adrenaline cinema is still alive. Kill looks to prove its case that it should be a contender for one of the best action films of the year and it will certainly be one of the best knife fighting flicks to ever hit.
