In the new trailer for Mutiny, co-star Annabelle Wallis asks Jason Statham, “who the fuck are you?” He’s mother-FUCKING-Jason Statham, that’s who! The Stath is back this August and back in a big and apocalyptic way with his latest crescendo of relentless action, brutality and execution with extreme prejudice also known as the action-thriller Mutiny. Statham has been set up and he’s going to make everyone know that this was a fatal mistake. EVERYONE! Scroll below to take in all the newest footage of Statham ass whooping because, he’s gonna show you that he’s the greatest!
In MUTINY, after witnessing his billionaire boss’s murder and being framed for the crime, Cole Reed (Jason Statham) boards a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his boss’ death only to discover an international conspiracy.
Starring alongside Statham are Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, and Jason Wong. Jean-François Richet, who helmed Plane with Gerard Butler and Mike Colter, directs from a script penned by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis.
TRAILER TACTICAL REACTION: This second red band trailer for Mutiny serves up even more of what we want to see from The Stath. This latest teaser footage is loaded with graphic execution and design as Statham’s character of Cole Reed deploys one man army aesthetics while oozing platinum levels of swagger and gravitas that only he can generate. He makes ample amounts of goons look inferior all the while going tactical with immense firepower, bladed weaponry and apocalyptic empty-hand carnage. There’s even more stabby, stabby to be had with this new look and I love that the trailer is outlined in red which demonstrates that blood will, without a doubt, flow like water. This is peek Statham and he literally fills the trailer run time carving his way through a gauntlet and unleashing his usual hyper kinetic mission of vengeance punctuated by hard hitting, visceral action sequences highlighting his particular skill set. There’s nobody better and with Statham well into his 50’s, he’s demonstrating that age is a state of mind and just a number. Just like the trailer announces, Statham is going to show everyone that he is the greatest!
Only in Theatres August 21st!
