Its official. Although I feel that Henry Cavill was super screwed by Warner Bros and James Gunn, but it has come to pass that we have our new Man of Steel and ace reporter Lois Lane for the new DCU movie Superman: Legacy.
This news isn’t surprising as they were front runners but Deadline has confirmed that David Corenswet has been tapped to play Superman while Rachel Brosnahan has the other coveted role of Lois Lane. The news comes after the two auditioned for Gunn and DC co-chairperson Peter Safran in full makeup and outfits.

Superman: Legacy, thank god, will not be another origin story and will instead focus on “Superman balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. Superman represents truth, justice and the American way. He is kindness in a world that thinks of kindness as old fashioned.”
Superman: Legacy hits theaters on July 11, 2025.
