Official Synopsis: A rancher crosses the border in search of his missing daughter who mysteriously vanishes during a trip to Mexico with her best friend. He decides to take matters into his own hands, with the help of a former Marine buddy (Gigandet), after the local authorities provide little help and he discovers that they are in cahoots with the dangerous cartel behind his daughter’s disappearance.
Kaufman (The Hit List, Jarhead 3) directs from an original screenplay by Chad Law (Daylight’s End, Section 8) and Johnny Walters. Definitely good company to have around while making an action film. I’m actually speaking to him today for The Channel so here’s hoping we can chat about this bullet fest as well!
What’s even cooler is that action fanatics are getting a double blast of William Kaufman pics as his The Channel starring Max Martini and Clayne Crawford also releases on July on the . It’s lock ‘n’ load month this July so better jock up because the bullets are going to fly. I’ve already seen The Channel and I can attest that this is Kaufman’s best work to date so we’ll see how Shrapnel stacks up to it when the dust settles.
