Well this is certainly welcome news! During the pandemic, action stars Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren had just started to film their newest action film Castle Falls, which Lundgren is also directing, when this film like all others were halted. In the subsequent months to follow, Adkins has been staying busy working out and working on his YouTube kicking tutorials and, of course, The Art of Action.
Now Adkins has brought word that we all have been waiting for in that production on Castle Falls is set to resume tomorrow in Birmingham, Alabama. Adkins posted the news with an awesome slo-mo shot of him executing a flawless jump spinning kick. Check it out below!
Adkins stated in the post: “Back at it! Feels great to be working again. Currently in Birmingham, Alabama to shoot Castle falls directed by and co-starring Dolph Lundgren. Principle photography begins tomorrow “🤞
Castle Falls sees Adkins play Mike, a struggling fighter forced to take on a foreman job at a local condominium that is set to be demolished. With just eight hours before the building, strapped with dynamite, is destroyed, two vicious local gangs, one led by Lundgren’s character, Shea, break in to retrieve millions of dollars stowed away in one of the apartments. When Mike stumbles across the money, a game of cat and mouse ensues. Per THR
Adkins and Lundgren have starred on screen together three other times in Legendary, Expendables 2 and, of course, Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning where the two engaged in one hell of a fisticuffs fueled scene which featured some high caliber action choreography. Hopefully we will get a rematch just like that one in this movie but unfortunately, we have a long wait to see the finished product as it is finally starting up production and didn’t get too far in.
Tim Man, once again, is handling the action so expect the same high quality fisticuffs I’m the film that we’ve gotten from the other Adkins/Man collaborations like Ninja 2, Accident Man and Triple Threat.
