When genre fans think of actresses that defined the female centric action film legacy, certain names like Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton, Cynthia Rothrock and Gal Gadot come to mind. You can’t talk about tough women in action without including Kristanna Loken as the versatile actress has made the genre her own. From taking on Schwarzenegger in her breakout role in Teminator 3: Rise of the Machines to other solid favorites like BloodRayne, In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale with Jason Statham, Mercenaries and most recently Repeater, Loken has carved out an action legacy of her own and she’s only getting started.
She now co-stars opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in director James Cullen Bressack’s new, noir crime-thriller Darkness of Man.
On this episode of The Action Fix Podcast, Kristanna stops by to talk about her new role of Claire who is essentially the moral compass to Van Damme’s character of Russel Hatch. She talks about working with the action icon, the importance of her character and what women mean to action. We also get into her time as a Terminator as well as many of her other action flicks.
It’s Kristanna Loken on this episode of The Action Fix Podcast!
