Well Go USA is back at it again and making sure that they stay the ultimate destination for high-octane martial arts action. A new report dropped a few days ago announced that the movie distribution company has nabbed the U.S. distribution rights for the Thai based action/thriller Bangkok Dog which stars veteran fight film star D.Y. Sao (Hanuman Shadow Master) and Martial Club member Brian Le (Everything Everywhere All at Once). Most importantly, Prachya Pinkaew, who action fans know is responsible for putting martial arts/action icon Tony Jaa on the map with Ong Bak (2003) and Tom Yum Goong (2005) iss et to produce with Chaya Supannarat making his directorial debut.

Bangkok Dog follows an American agent who is sent to Thailand on a dangerous undercover mission to take down a sadistic crime lord. His street smarts and fighting skills win over the local gangsters and he rises through the Bangkok underworld, but the closer he gets to cracking the case, the more he loses himself in the role. Per Deadline

Byron Bishop (Only God Forgives), Sahajak Boonthanakit (The Beach) and model turned actress Jenny Philomena Van Der Sluijs rounds out the international cast. Before his directorial debut, Supannarat was a producer and multi-time collaborator of the late director Pearry Teo who was best known for genre films like Shadow Master, The Assent and Gene Generation.
With the talent involved in front of and behind the camera, expect mass casualties on screen with hyper-fierce fight action design that Thailand is known for. Sao is one of the genre’s leading fight performers having gotten his knuckles bloody on past films like Champion Road: Arena, Fast Vengeance and most recently Shadow Master. Le also has cut his teeth in films like the aforementioned Shadow Master as well as The Paper Tigers, and the short-lived series American Born Chinese.
Lock N Load for more to follow with Bangkok Dog as we are your ultimate destination for action!!!
