Filmmaker James Cullen Bressack has been smashing it as of late in the action genre after several years of directing a host of bloody horror pics. A fan of the adrenaline science as well, Bressack has been making some top tier action films starring some of the best the industry has to offer like Bruce Willis in some of his final films, Mel Gibson and Steven Seagal. Now Bressack has nabbed another action icon with the Muscles from Brussels himself Jean-Claude Van Damme who stars in the new, noir crime-thriller Darkness of Man. JCVD stars as a down and out ex-cop who must navigate a mob war between the Russians and the Koreans in order to fulfill a promise, he made years ago. What culminates is a dark and unflinching tale featuring Van Damme at his brutal best with pulverizing fight scenes, blood-soaked shoot outs and can’t miss Van Dammage.
In this exclusive interview on the Action Fix Podcast, Bressack stops by to talk about the film, working with Van Damme, executing the film’s numerous brutal and bloody action sequences as well as his career.
