Hot off the heels of releasing a new image of Tom Hardy in the upcoming actioner Havoc, Empire Magazine has also unveiled a new pic of Bob Odenkirk bloodied and armed in his highly anticipated bullet fueled sequel Nobody 2. Spicing things up for the follow is filmmaker Timo Tjahjanto helming this time around and we all know what he’s capable of with his brutal and unflinching action opuses The Night Comes for Us and the newly released The Shadow Strays. Expect some nifty action design that will surely surpass the original. Check out the new image of Mansell back in action below!

In the article over at Empire, Timo teased the return of Odenkirk’s Mansell and the fact that the genie is out of the bottle when it comes to his violent past and particular skill set.
“Now that he’s back at it in full throttle, how does his family react to this beast?” teases Tjahjanto of what Hutch is facing this time around. “You’ll see a lot of the questions that fathers and husbands ask— ‘How do they react to this other side of me who’s constantly hustling and working for the family?’ It’s gonna be quite a journey.” That comes in a sequel set to be bigger and brighter than before. “We do away with the whole drab, gloomy factory/warehouse feel of the first film,” says Tjahjanto, “and make it much more summery and colourful.”
Sharon Stone joins the franchise which sees the prolific Hollywood star playing the heel and according to Timo, she’s going to bring it in this film in more ways than one. “Her performance reminds me a lot of Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast,” Tjahjanto stated. “She is definitely an alpha female. She doesn’t take shit from anybody. This is a villain that is unique, and she’s making this character completely batshit crazy.”
Returning cast members include Connie Nielsen as Becca Mansell, RZA as Harry Mansell, Christopher Lloyd as David Mansell, and Aleksei Serebryakov as Yulian Kuznetsov. Plot details are still top secret, but the director did say that family drama aspects will be front and center to go along with the blood and balletic chaos. David Leitch and Kelly McCormick are producing once again via their 87North production banner so expect more Gun Fu sizzling sequences.
The first Nobody was a mixed bag for me as I liked it, but it didn’t have the same effect as John Wick or other action films of that caliber had. I watch it still, but I’m geared up for the sequel and to see what Timo brings to the table action and stunt design wise. Nobody 2 is set to hit in August of 2025.
