The RZA is, without a doubt, a crazy talented individual. The creator is best known for his iconic musical work with the Wu -Tang Clan but he is also an avid martial arts enthusiast, action star and filmmaker and straight up Kung Fu film fanatic in his own right and has starred in several high-profile pics. From films like The Man with the Iron Fists to his recuring role in Nobody and Nobody 2, The RZA is probably one of the most underrated action talents around.
Now The RZA is kicking into high gear for his latest martial arts epic titled fittingly enough One Spoon of Chocolate where he is teaming with actor Shameik Moore who is best known for voicing the character of \Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse flicks. The RZA is also partnering with Quentin Tarantino for the film as the prolific filmmaker is presenting the film which looks to infuse all kinds of butt kicking with a shot of urban cred. Take a look at the new and gloriously brutal red band trailer below!
RZA’s One Spoon of Chocolate” follows Unique (Shameik Moore, “Dope” and voice of Miles Morales in the Spider-Verse films), a veteran and ex-convict seeking a fresh start in a small town. After an altercation with a gang of locals, he starts to suspect they may have something to do with the disappearance of young men in the area – including his cousin.
As he digs for the truth, he finds himself the target of not only the gang, but the local sheriff’s office, whose involvement in the disappearances may be even more sinister. Instead of waiting for his turn to be picked off, Unique and those closest to him (Paris Jackson, RJ Cyler) decide to fight back in this sharply satirical and stylish action thriller from the visionary leader of the Wu-Tang Clan.

The RZA wrote, directed, and produced this beatdown spectacle and the supporting cast is dope which includes RJ Cyler, Paris Jackson, and the one and only Blair Underwood.
Trailer Reaction reveals an old-school, grindhouse aesthetic mixed with hard hitting action design and an unholy way to take out the trash. Moore looks bad ass and the music is pumping as one man takes on a whole town. Plus, I’m pretty sure that one important message of the film says that drugs make you a better driver and fighter, but I digress because this looks savage, visceral and straight out of a drive in theater from the 70’s. What else can you expect from The RZA and Tarantino. This looks off the chain, deliciously politically incorrect and lethal as hell. Sold!
