Dave Bautista is crushing it as of late with some serious action cred in films like The Killer’s Game, Afterburn and In the Lost Lands. Even if the latter was dismissed by critics and fans alike, there was no denying that Bautista still brought his A game when it came to the ferocious physicality and extreme action design warranted for the role. When Bautista shredded some serious weight in order to garner more diverse roles, his fandom grew worried as it looked like the wrestling icon turned action star was forsaking the adrenaline cinema.
Fear not action faithful as Bautista is still kicking that ass and his latest sees him starring as an elite DEA operative who must take on a brutal cartel when his child and other naive teens choose to steal from those you do not steal from. The movie is called Trap House and it hails from director Michael Dowse (Fubar, Goon, What If, Stuber, 8-Bit Christmas).
A new trailer has rolled online serving up all the unapologetic violence and bad decisions with Bautista doing Bautista things so partake in all the carnage below!
In El Paso, Texas, an undercover DEA agent (Dave Bautista) and his partner embark on a game of cat and mouse with their own teenage children, who are using their parents’ tactics – surveillance, infiltration, and non-lethal weapons – to rob a dangerous drug cartel.

The film also stars Jack Champion, Sophia Lillis, Tony Dalton, Whitney Peak, Kate Del Castillo, Zaire Adams, and Bobby Cannavale. The film was written by Gary Scott Thompson and Tom O’Connor; from a story by Thompson.
With a tagline that reads, “This isn’t a raid. It’s a reckoning,” this one looks over the top in terms of plot and theatrics. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but one might have to suspend disbelief with teenagers being adapt in utilizing law enforcement gear and tactics to steal millions from very bad people. If anything, it gives the movie an excuse to see Bautista lay down some serious mayhem so there is that.
