Last January gave us one of the best action films of 2024 with The Beekeeper starring Jason Statham. Directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad, Fury), the film proved that we have the newest double shot of adrenaline when it comes to successful action partnerships between stars and directors. Statham and Ayer are such a potent combo, and the film was such a huge success, it was inevitable that they were going to work together again and almost one year from the release of their first collaboration, we have the trailer for their latest. Formerly known as Levon’s Trade, the movie is now called A Working Man, and it stars The Stath as former Royal Marine now working-class citizen Levon Cade who sharpens up his signature skills as a former black ops bad ass when innocent lives around him come under danger including the daughter of a friend being kidnapped by human traffickers. Scroll below and partake in all the savage science that Statham has to offer as he goes blue collar tactical once again!
Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life working construction. But when his boss’s daughter, who is like family to him, is taken by human traffickers, his search to bring her home uncovers a world of corruption far greater than he ever could have imagined.

Aside from the fact that Statham is playing a completely different character here, this could almost be a sequel to The Beekeeper with the action star dishing out more blue-collar justice to those who deserve it the most. Just like their first film, this one is locked and loaded with sensational, brutal, and savage action sequences showing off why Statham is one of the best in the business. I smell more films from Statham and Syer in the future so buckle up and enjoy the bone breaking ride!
Action icon and Statham’s Expendables comrade Sylvester Stallone, who also wrote Statham’s Homefront, pens the screenplay along with Ayer from the book of the same name by Chuck Dixon. Thunderbolts* star David Harbour (Violent Night) co-stars as Cade’s blind warrior back up who has his six and his addition only adds more action cred to a movie that didn’t need any in the first place but we sure as hell will take it. Harbour’s fellow MCU alum Michale Pena (Ant-Man) also stars as Cade’s friend and boss whose daughter succumbs to a white slavery organization.

Yes, the plot is similar to the prior Ayer-Statham film The Beekeeper with The Stath playing another retired former bad ass who must dust off his particular skill set. Instead of avenging a close friend’s death, however, this one sees Statham picking up weaponry again to save the daughter of his boss. If The Beekeeper was any indication, the old-school action feel will be firmly in effect once again with Statham becoming a one-man war to save the day.
