The new action thriller SUNRAY: Fallen Soldier is looking to ramp up the authentic and tactically realistic action as the movie hails from legit bad ass Royal Marine Commandos. Too many times, audiences shirk at any country’s military being displayed in an unconvincing way, so the filmmakers here are looking to bring the most authentic tactical action on screen. Helmed by James Clarke and Daniel Shepherd, the movie is locked and loaded with real life soldiers in front of and behind the camera as the stars and crew are boasted by the UK’s elite amphibious special operations capable commando force AKA the Royal marine Commandos. To further cement their argument for warrior realism, a new trailer, key art and images have surfaced as the film was recently acquired by Vertigo Releasing for a launch this January.
A war veteran calls on friends from his past to hunt down those responsible for the death of his daughter. Along the way, he learns more about himself than he anticipated as a violent crime syndicate unravels in his wake.

SUNRAY: Fallen Soldier stars Tip Cullen, Tom Leigh, Steven Blades, Luke Solomon and Daniel Davids.
Written, directed, produced, edited and acted by former Royal Marines, many of the Sunray team have lived and experienced the direct effects of conflict including the loss of friends. Veterans were employed across the production both on and off screen.
The film is supported by a multi-national veteran and serving armed forces community who want more awareness for the sacrifices made by soldiers and the effects of PTSD.
Upon viewing the new trailer, as one who is a fanatic for military tactical carnage and SUNRAY: Fallen Soldier looks to bring all the gritty, brutal and unflinching action to the proceedings. Of course, this is an indie production but more times than not, indie action delivers more of what fans are looking for and this one may be a notch that viewers will want to put into their action film arsenal. There’s intense set pieces and unapologetic eruption of violence to be had as the movie also explores the psychological damages that war has on the elite warriors. It certainly looks like they’re going hard or going home so I’m ready to jock up, tack up and check this one out.
