It’s been a few months since we lost a true pioneer of martial arts action when Chuck Norris passed away and even to this day, I am not over it nor will I ever really be. Now, of course, Norris’ death hit millions the same way and now we are set to get a brand-new action short film that looks to pay the ultimate respect and homage to Norris.
The upcoming short is titled Hunted and it hails from filmmaker Mark Rutledge who is responsible for such films as Tribal: Get Out Alive as well as The Big Boss: Return to Thailand. Mark Strange is no stranger to martial arts action cinema as he has starred in numerous projects including the iconic Ip Man 4: The Finale and most recently Kung Fu Games. Now the two have combined their high-octane skills and forces to bring fans the ultimate tribute to an icon. Check out the poster and teaser trailer below courtesy of Mark strange on Instagram!

Our short film is dedicated to the one and only Chuck Norris, one of the most beloved and influential martial arts and action cinema legends of all time. “HUNTED” is a homage to the great man himself and his incredible work.
TRAILER TACTICAL REACTION: Now it’s important to note that this teaser is just that, a teaser. It is 27 seconds long, but it is 27 seconds of pure unabashed retro action awesomeness. We are treated to Strange deploying his martial arts skills on a heavy bag as a foreshadowing of things to come proceeded by some super ultra-cool slo-mo running as explosions erupt all around him and enemy forces let loose with countless rounds of automatic gunfire. If this is the teaser, I cannot wait to see an extended trailer that will surely show off more impressive practical stunt work and action design including both fisticuffs and firepower. Honoring the legacy of Norris and these types of films that we all grew up on is sensational and I’m all in.
