Hit or miss is another name for the Star Wars limited series on Disney + but here’s a new entry that just might hit the mark as a new trailer for Star Wars: The Acolyte has roared online. This one’s different as it’s told from the perspective of the villains or anti-heroes if you will plus infuse some Hong Kong style fight and action choreography into the set pieces and I’m sold. Scroll below and see the newest war of the Jedi now!
An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.

Star Wars: The Acolyte features Amandla Stenberg (Bodies Bodies Bodies), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Dafne Keen (Logan), Charlie Barnett (You), Jodie Turner-Smith (Anne Boleyn), Rebecca Henderson (Russian Doll), Dean-Charles Chapman (Game of Thrones), Joonas Suotamon (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix Resurrections).

Star Wars: The Acolyte series creator Lesyle Headland has teased that this entry in the historic franchise in a interview with Entertainment Weekly. Headland says that The Acolyte will flip the script and feature a Star Wars story with no war and that this series will feature the most Jedi ever. Let’s not forget that the story will be told by those who push for the Dark Side of the Force.
“I think that what makes this show different and interesting is that it’s from the perspective of the villains of Star Wars,” Lesyle Headland stated. “These are people who are using the Force in their own way, dipping into the darker sides of the Force and are doing it without being sanctioned by the larger institution, which, in this case, is the Jedi.”
Like I stated above, the action looks completely different for a Star Wars entry and looks to throw in some Asian Action flair to the proceedings. This will certainly bode well for any lightsaber dual.
“I can say this pretty confidently,” Headland said. “I don’t think you’re going to see action in other shows the way that you see it utilized in our show.”
Star Wars: The Acolyte hits Disney + with a two episode premiere on June 4th so polish off those light sabers and get ready to breach the Dark Side!!
