Fans of George Miller’s iconic Mad Max franchise are amping up for he latest entry in the famed filmmaker’s epic films as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is ready to rip through theaters with Anya Taylor-Joy taking over Charlize Theron’s role of Furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road. Also starring a demented Chris Hemsworth as the movie’s main baddie, Taylor-Joy is ready to get barbaric and brutal in this prequel entry of the hit franchise!
Official Synopsis: As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by the Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.

Taylor-Joy and Hemsworth star along with Tom Burke (C.B. Strike) and Quaden Bayles (Three Thousand Years of Longing), with Alyla Browne (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart) as a younger Furiosa. Lachy Hulme (Offspring) plays a dual role here as Fury Road antagonist Immortan Joe (who was played by the late actor Hugh Keays-Byrne). He also plays Rizzdale Pell, an associate of Hemsworth’s savage character Dementus.
George Miller, of course, directs again with the movie’s trailers serving up more post apocalyptic vehicular warfare. This one looks to ramp up the aunt filled carnage to a new level of breakneck stunts and set pieces.
Miller has teased Mad Max’s involvement here with saying that the iconic anti-hero is always “lurking there in the background.”
