Premiering in 2022, The Terminal List, which is a TV series adaptation of Jack Carr’s New York Times bestselling novel, was a solid hit for Prime Video and featured MCU alum Chris Pratt in a stirring role as a flawed hero looking for redemption as well as a little vengeance. Co-star Taylor Kitsch brought in even more energy as an ally and former team member to Pratt and did such a good job that he is now the focus of a prequel series hitting in August.
Prime Video recently unveiled the release date for the prequel titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, and with it, they released first-look images showing off Kitsch and the stacked cast which also includes a returning Pratt. Scroll below for a peek at the pics courtesy of Prime Video!

Kitsch returns to the role of Ben Edwards from The Terminal List, and Chris Pratt will also be featured as James Reece in some capacity. Dark Wolf also stars Tom Hopper as Raife Haistings, Robert Wisdom as Jed Haverford, Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, Rona-Lee Shimon as Eliza Perash, Shiraz Tzarfati as Tal Varon, and Jared Shaw as Ernest ‘Boozer’ Vickers.
The first season saw Pratt starring as a “Navy SEAL who seeks to avenge the murder of his family.” After returning from a mission that went awry and cost the lives of his entire unit, James Reece returns with limited memories of what happened and discovers a vast conspiracy that goes all the way to the top of government power.
The prequel Dark Wolf is said to have Taylor Kitsch’s character of Ben Edwards front and center this time and is being described as an “elevated espionage thriller that would explore the true darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it.”
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, described as an “origin story,” follows Ben Edwards throughout his journey from the Navy SEALs to the clandestine side of CIA Special Operations. The series is an espionage thriller that explores the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it, per the synopsis.
The first season of The Terminal List debuted back in 2022, so it’s been three years since the initial premiere on Prime. The show has been renewed for a second season and will debut in the future. Although it dragged a little as many limited series always do, I did find that there was enough Black Ops action and taut thrills to keep my interest with Pratt and Kitsch having superb chemistry together. I never did a proper review for it as life got in the way but will assuredly fix that with the release of the prequel show.
