Henry Cavill Confirms He’s Back as The Man of Steel!

After the worst kept secret was finally revealed this weekend as Black Adam confirmed with its stinger scene, Henry Cavill, who showed up for ten seconds in the scene, is officially back as Superman in future DC films! Cavill showed up for what amounted to the best part of the movie and he was only onscreen for mere seconds.

The scene shows Black Adam talking to Amanda Waller (Viola Davis, who reprises her role) then shows Cavill emerging from the darkness to tell Black Adam that they “should talk.” I can’t lie. Even though I knew it was coming, to actually see Cavill emerge gave me goosebumps. Let’s hope these two tussle in the future as it would be epic.

Cavill took to social media to officially confirm that, yes, he will be playing the last son of Krypton in future DCEU related projects. Check out Cavill on his traditional red and blue suit he also wore on the stinger scene below!

Cavill thanked the fans for everything they have done to keep up the mantle to see him return. In the post above, Cavill stated:

Hey, everyone. I wanted to wait until the weekend was over before posting this because I wanted to give you all a chance to watch Black Adam. Now that plenty of you have, I wanted to make it official that I am back as Superman. The image you see in this post and what you saw in Black Adam are just a very small taste of things to come,” Cavill stated. “There’s a lot to be thankful for, and I’ll get to that in time. I wanted to thank you guys most of all. Thank you for your support, and thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded.

After seeing the positive reception to Black Adam from the fans, it appears that Warner Bros and DC might be staring things in the right direction when it comes to the DCEU. After all, Ben Affleck is back albeit well don’t know yo what extent. We do know that he’ll be involved more in The Flash and will also make an appearance in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. I’m all for it as I was into what Snyder was doing and his cut of Justice League only made me more of a fan.

There is a Man of Steel sequel in development now and Cavill will also be involved in other future DC projects. Let’s hope for the best as Cavill is one of my favorite Superman’s outside of Christopher Reeves.

We shall see where all this goes so keep it locked and loaded right here for more DCEU 411 to follow!
