There’s a lot of peace heading our way. John Cena’s Christopher Smith AKA Peacemaker has officially thrown his hat (or helmet) into James Gunn’s DCU ring with the launch of the teaser for Peacemaker Season 2. Along with that Cena is taking on Frank Grillo as Grillo’s Rick Flag, Sr. is extremely pissed off at the anti-superhero for killing his son Colonel Rick Flag who was played by Joel Kinnaman in both Suicide Squad films. Gunn is throwing everything and the kitchen sink into this new season and you can see the hilarious hijinks and go for broke action below!
The new season follows Christopher ‘Chris’ Smith, aka Peacemaker, the vigilante Super Hero as he struggles to reconcile his past with his newfound sense of purpose while continuing to kick righteous evil-doer butt in his misguided quest for peace at any cost.
Joining Cena and Grillo for the second onslaught of hyper-fierce DC shenanigans are Danielle Brooks as Leota Adebayo, Freddie Strom as Adrian Chase AKA Vigilante, Jennifer Holland as Emilia Harcourt, Steve Agee as John Economos, Robert Patrick as August “Auggie” Smith AKA White Dragon, Sol Rodríguez as Sasha Bordeaux, Tim Meadows as Langston Fleury, and Nhut Le as Judomaster. New additions include David Denman, Anissa Matlock, Taylor St. Clair, Dorian Kingi, and Brandon Stanley.
It’s been a minute since the last season hit all the way back in 2022 but today the light at the end of the tunnel came a little closer with the official tease. Chris killed the younger Flag in James Gunn’s Suicide Squad but he regrets it to this day but that doesn’t matter to Flag Sr. who is on a rampage of revenge. Chris’ ragtag crew of do gooders are also up to no good once again and the new season looks to be locked and loaded with even more gags to encompass the action.
