The Scott Adkins news is on full auto as we speak as I have yet another Adkins Actioner to chat about this Monday morning! This one was actually posted this back in December but better late than never I always say and I did have a reason for the delay. Adkins took to his official social media to officially announce that principal photography has wrapped on his upcoming crime-actioner Day of Reckoning which just happens to be part of the title to the Universal Soldier film he did with Van Damme and Lundgren. Coincidentally, Adkins also starred in a thriller called Dead Reckoning, so I suppose there’s a theme here. Adkins celebrated the occasion with a new behind the scenes image of himself on top of a stunning Harley Davidson ready to rev it up. Adding more intel on the film, Adkins also made the announcement that genre mainstay Billy Zane (Sniper, Titanic) has joined the cast. Scroll below for the new image of Adkins saddled up on his steel hog!

Adkins actually posted this on December 20th right before Christmas, but I held off on covering it until I had more intel. This is another project that came out of nowhere and Adkins is famous for keeping his future flicks on the down low for a period of time. Now that there’s more to talk about, the cat is out of the bag as they say.
In his post, Adkins stated “Just wrapped on Day of Reckoning where I play the head of a bank robbing biker gang with @billyzane on my tail.”
The synopsis for Day of Reckoning reads: A struggling sheriff teams up with a tough U.S. Marshal to detain a cunning female outlaw. As tensions rise within their posse, they must face an approaching gang led by the prisoner’s violent husband.
Adkins stars as Kyle Rusk with Zane playing Marshall Butch Hayden in the pic and I do believe that he’s the heavy if I’m not mistaken so this will be a nice breath of fresh air as we all know that Adkins plays the hero more than not. Also, he is described as a violent husband who is the leader of a bank robbing biker gang so I’m sure he had a lot of fun with it and will get savage in the fight sequences. Along with Adkins and Zane, other cast members include Zach as Sheriff John Dorsey, Cara Jade Myers as Emily Rusk, country singer and actor Trace Adkins as Big Buck and Travis Hammer as Nash. Travis J. Opgenorth penned the screenplay.
There were also some images released from the action star as well showcasing that he was going to use his signature skill set in the film and I’m extremely excited to see Adkins go dark for this one as he was a solid villain in Triple Threat as well No Surrender which was a heinous Egyptian film that was only saved by him being in the film. Let’s not forget his most iconic character in Undisputed’s Yuri Boyka who was a baddie until he transformed into an anti-hero.
2025 is going to rock for Scott Adkins faithful as the action star has the aforementioned Diablo coming out as well as Skyline: Warpath from filmmaker Liam O’Donnell which reunites him with his Triple Threat co-star Iko Uwais. Adkins is also set to star in Kickboxer: Armageddon which will see him taking on franchise star Alain Moussi and martial arts action icon Mark Dacascos. There is also the WWII fight flick Death March from director Louis Mandylor and the crime thriller Reckless. Not to end it there but Adkins also has the recently announced actioner Day of Reckoning which pairs him with Billy Zane. Adkins has officially taken over the title of hardest working actor in action cinema which was previously held by his Lights Out co-star Frank Grillo.
If all those films weren’t enough to push the pedal to the metal for Adkins infused excitement, the man is also set to star with none other than Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in the Joe Carnahan directed thriller RIP. Adkins overload is in full effect right now. RIP sees Adkins starring as the brother to Affleck’s character in a tale of cops, robbers and mayhem.
