There’s no denying that some of Jackie Chan’s best output has been with filmmaker Stanley Tong as the two have collaborated on some of the action icon’s best efforts. From the Supercop movies to Rumble in the Bronx, Chan and Tong have delivered on all cylinders more than once.
Now the two are reuniting once again for a sequel to one of their latter efforts which was The Myth, an action flick that combined set pieces in both modern day and period ages. Tentatively titled The Legend or A Legend which is also known as The Myth Part 2 (are you keeping score?), this one has a new teaser trailer that showcases some rousing set pieces in both today and yesteryear just like before. Check out the new English subtitled teaser courtesy of our friend The Arty Dan over at Asian Film Fans on YouTube!
The synopsis is still vague but according to The Arty Dan, Jackie plays an archeologist who gets caught in a sweeping adventure that transcends time after he finds an ancient amulet and temple. Stay tuned for a more detailed description.

The original film saw Jackie playing an archeologist who investigates when he continues to suffer from reoccurring dreams of a past life to which he the legendary general Meng Yi, who was tasked with protecting a princess named Ok-Soo. Judging from the teaser, it looks very similar to the first film.
The teaser says 2023 but all sources point to a 2024 launch date so stay tuned.
