Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Invasion USA, I Come in Peace AKA Dark Angel. These are just some of the classic action movies that also happen to take place during Christmas. Although, technically not holiday movies when they were made, they have since become Yuletide traditions for genre fans everywhere as violent and high octane alternatives to Rudolph and Frosty.
Well, get ready to add another one to the list of holiday flicks that run red with machine gun fire as David Harbor is set to star as one bad ass Kris Kringle not to mess with. The film is called fittingly enough, Violent Night (get it? It’s like Silent Night but with word play). Let’s move on shall we.
New key art has debuted which features Harbour as one pisses off Santa, bloody and bruised and sucking on a candy cane. I’m sold but in case you’re not, check it out below!
You had me at Nick is no saint. The film, which is an 87North production with David Leitch and Kelly McCormick involved so that right there sweetens the deal even more. The action set pieces should have that 87 Eleven action feel to it with some impressive stunt work and mayhem so this one is definitely on my must see list. Tommy Wirkola, best known for Dead Snow, helmed the pic from a script penned by Patrick Casey and Josh Miller who took on Sonic the Hedgehog.
Harbour stars alongside John Leguizamo (Land of the Dead), Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation), Alexis Louder (Cops-hop), Cam Gigandet (Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse), André Eriksen (Horsemen), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), and Alex Haskell.
The movie is set to crash into theaters on December 2nd right smack dab in the middle of the holiday season so expect a bullet riddled trailer to drop at anytime.
Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come including first look footage of Harbour taking out the trash as we are your destination for everything action in 2022 and beyond!!!!
