By: John M Jerva

It’s a showdown of action cinema greatness! Jason Statham has shared some exhilarating new images from the set of Expendables 4 and these new pics might just give a little too much away in terms of what happens in the film. But if you’re like me then you won’t care as you take in all the glorious BTS action that has been thrown at us.

The new on set images feature The Stath and co-star Iko Uwais locked in one massive hand to hand combat complete with bladed weaponry. The black and white pics are pretty high-octane but like I said this is probably the main altercation in the finale of the film. Check them out below if you don’t mind spoilers! Scroll down further for full color versions!

Plot details are non existent right now but we do know that Uwais will be playing the lead villain in the newest entry of the blockbuster action franchise. It’s also well known that Statham is taking command this time after Stallone has essentially passed the torch to him. It makes sense with these images that the two will go head to head. There’s no doubt it’ll be one amazing display of fisticuffs.

Statham & Uwais locked in major combat on the set of Expendables 4!

I especially like the shot of Statham lunging towards Uwais as he brandished two knives. That screenshot is nothing short of epic. There’s also some great shots of the two action heavyweights in between takes as they ham it up for the camera.

Statham also showed mad respect for Uwais in the post stating:

“A real honour to spend some screen time with the incredibly talented @Iko_Uwais. A true master of his game and a powerhouse of speed and skills that take a lifetime to achieve. Massive respect for all that you do brother.”

Stallone is back with Jason Statham, Randy Couture and Dolph Lundgren as the original cast. Other new additions include Megan Fox, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Andy Garcia. International action stars Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais also have roles with the latter playing the main villain.

Stunt pro Scott Waugh takes over in the director’s chair and he helms from a script penned by Spenser Cohen with current revisions turned in by Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more details to come as the next Expendables film is officially filming!
