UPDATE: Lionsgate has unleashed a brand-new clip from Jason Statham’s upcoming actioner Mutiny! After delivering behind the scenes videos, we now have our first, official longer look at the movie where Statham is doing Statham things. The sequence is a solid action sequence with The Stath delivering some Fast & Furious action design while exterminating the competition with extreme prejudice. (Original Article) August 21st is fast approaching and with that date, action faithful are about to be treated to another salvo of Statham Action Adrenaline! Mutiny is set to hit theaters from Lionsgate and The Stath is looking better than ever, and this film is looking to be another brutal, savage and adrenalized entry in the action icon’s film arsenal.
In preparation of Mutiny’s theatrical launch, Lionsgate and Statham have unleashed a new behind the scenes look at the movie which looks to take the tried and true Die Hard trope on the high seas. There’s blood in the water and Statham is set to drop bodies overboard in another crowd pleasing action pic full of high-octane, visceral set pieces.

In MUTINY, after witnessing his billionaire boss’s murder and being framed for the crime, Cole Reed (Jason Statham) boards a cargo ship on a one-man crusade to avenge his boss’ death only to discover an international conspiracy.

Not to take anything away from domestic marketing and posters but there is an international poster for Mutiny that puts all the others to complete and utter shame. The one sheet, which you can see below, is a priceless image of Statham front and center as he takes out a gauntlet of goons with firepower and bladed weaponry. Blood is spilt on the poster with several assailants meeting gruesome ends and even though this promotional poster wouldn’t cut it here in the states, it truly captures the bloody vibe of the action-thriller.
