The time is almost upon us fellow GI Joe fanatics as the long awaited Snake Eyes: GI Joe Origins is fast approaching with a July 23rd launch date. Henry Golding stars as the titular ninja commando and the 1 minute tease that was released in May only left us wanting more.
Fear not, because I’ve got your back and on this Father’s Day, we have new key art to share with you in preparation for the extended trailer debut tomorrow. The biggest take on this new poster is that we finally see the iconic helmet on Golding’s head and it is glorious in its reveal. Check it out below!

Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins stars Henry Golding as Snake Eyes, a tenacious loner who is welcomed into an ancient Japanese clan called the Arashikage after saving the life of their heir apparent. Upon arrival in Japan, the Arashikage teach Snake Eyes the ways of the ninja warrior while also providing something he’s been longing for: a home. But, when secrets from his past are revealed, Snake Eyes’ honor and allegiance will be tested – even if that means losing the trust of those closest to him. Based on the iconic G.I. Joe character, Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins also stars Andrew Koji as Storm Shadow, Úrsula Corberó as The Baroness, Samara Weaving as Scarlett, Haruka Abe as Akiko, Tahehiro Hira as Kenta and Iko Uwais as Hard Master.
Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins is helmed by Robert Schwentke (The Captain, RED) from a script penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos. The film also stars a sensational international cast that includes Iko Uwais (Headshot) as Hard Master, Andrew Koji (Warrior, Peaky Blinders) as Strom Shadow, Peter Mensah (Jason X, 300) as Blind Master, Takehiro Hira (Lost Girls and Love Hotels) as Kenta, Haruka Abe (Kiss Me First, Cruella) as Akiko, Steven Allerick (The Expanse, Extant) as Father, Samuel Finzi (The Captain) as Augustine, and Simon Chin (Killing Eve, Outcast) as Hama.
It’s been a long time coming but this new key art has me jazzed to say the least and hopefully we’ll get more of this in the new trailer which will stop tomorrow. The action that was showcased in the teaser looked pretty damn good so here’s to seeing more on Monday.
July 23rd is the date and only in theaters, so get ready for some Arashakage style blood letting as the swords are gonna fly in this one! Bring on the extended trailer!!!
Check back tomorrow for the newest footage to hit! In the meantime, view the teaser one more time along with a new Featurette that was released a few weeks back!
