After debuting in the UK a few months back, North American audiences will finally get to indulge in action icon Scott Adkins’ latest action-comedy titled Reckless. Oozing with Guy Ritchie charm and wit, this one features Adkins doing what he does best while at the same time doing something a little off the beat and path. With the film hitting theaters and Digital this Friday via Samual Goldwyn Films, scroll below for a new domestic trailer and poster as Ultimate Adkins Action is ready to implode once again!

Adkins stars as Devon along with Vinnie Jones playing Trent as well as Nicole Dean (Heads of State) as Kimber, Kris Johnson (Undercover Hooligan) as Jackson, Dean Gaffney as Willmott, Adam Deacon (Righteous Villains) as Kyle, Jordon Long (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as George, and veteran martial arts action star Mark Strange (Ip Man 4: the Finale, Kung Fu Games) playing Bishop. The movie was penned by Robert Kelly (Way of the Wicked) and Adkins’ longtime collaborator Stu Small who also wrote Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday, and Debt Collectors. Reckless marks the directorial debut of Elliott Montello who up till now was best known for serving as cameraman and second unit director on films like American Siege (2021) with Bruce Willis and Mob Land (2023) with John Travolta. He also worked on Lionsgate’s Clear Cut (2024) starring Clive Standen, Stephen Dorff and Alec Baldwin.
TRAILER REACTION: I was not fortunate enough to view Reckless yet, but I hear good things. The trailer for the North American launch from Samuel Goldwyn Films certainly entices as it highlights Signature Adkins Action while also looking to pay homage to the films of Guy Ritchie. Yiu can tell that director Elliot Montello is a true fane of these types of films and it looks politically incorrect enough for my liking with some rather risqué comedic beats infused with some hard hitting and extreme martial arts action design. We know that Adkins can pull off comedy as well as action having done it in the Accident Man and Debt Collector films and with him showcasing an inepter side to his character here might just win him some more mainstream fans. Having the iconic Vinnie Jones backing you up is always a win in the genre. I look forward to checking this one out finally. Mr. Adkins, if you would like to chat about it, I’m all ears.
