After debuting at the 2025 Cinema Con in Las Vegas, 20th Century Studios has officially unleashed the new trailer for the latest in the blockbuster Predator franchise. Prey director Dan Trachtenberg returns to spin the sci-fi action series on its head once again with a new look Predator and one that is good to boot. Filled worth one minute and seven seconds of tier one visuals and kick ass action, it’s time to enter a world of hurt with the new trailer for Predator: Badlands!
20th Century Studios has just released the first trailer and poster for “Predator: Badlands,” the newest entry in the “Predator” franchise, directed by Dan Trachtenberg (“Prey”). “Predator: Badlands” opens exclusively in movie theatres on November 7 in IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX, and premium screens everywhere.
“Predator: Badlands,” which stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary. The film is directed by Dan Trachtenberg and produced by John Davis, Dan Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, Brent O’Connor.
The teaser does its intended job, and I feel that this one, even though Trachtenberg is trying something completely different, will still manage to alienate fans when it hits theaters this November. There is no denying that this newest iteration of the Predator looks savage and full on fierce with a younger and sleeker vibe and mojo, but the look is certainly an acquired taste. The special effects and action look phenomenal however and I still have faith in Trachtenberg to deliver something genuine, fresh and retro all at the same time. We shall see but it’s just awesome to know that this new Predator film will theaters an IMAX after Prey went the streaming route dying the pandemic.
This film and the animated anthology film Predator: Killer of Killers definitely enhances the fact that it is a great time to be a fan of the intergalactic bounty hunter.
Predator: Badlands arrives in theaters and IMAX November 7.
