It was another eventful weekend for yours truly as my little girl got sick and work was insane, so I missed the MCU putting out brand new and extended trailers for their upcoming 2025 films Thunderbolts+ as well as Captain America: Brave New World. Both do their expected jobs of exciting fans and now this Monday morning Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first extended trailer for daredevil Tom Cruise’s next mission titled Mission Impossible- The Final Reckoning. Check out all the action below!
First up, we have Anthony Mackie tacking up for his first, full adventure as the new Captain America and despite some saying that they are underwhelmed by what they’ve seen so far, this trailer should do the trick…or not, who knows. I’m pumped through and we all know Marvel doesn’t show anything that would spoil a good time so check out Cap taking on the Red Hulk below!
Brand new key art was dropped as well, and it sizzles with Cap blocking the Hulk’s gigantic red fist with his shield. I like the switch in tones after the silliness of Deadpool & Wolverine and this one has the attitude of the Winter Soldier which is in my top 3 of favorite comic book films, so I’ll be there in February!
After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, played by Harrison Ford in his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.

Julius Onah helms the film which Kevin Feige teased that it would be lower key similar to Captain America: The Winter Soldier. That suits me just fine as The Winter Soldier is one of my favorite comic book films of all time. That film is essentially a martial arts film so bring on the action design again with this newer version!
The trailer is locked n loaded with several sensational action set pieces and we see the return of numerous MCU characters including Danny Ramirez who is the new Falcon, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns, better known as The Leader, and Liv Tyler who returns as Ross’s daughter, Betty. Tyler played the role in Edward Norton’s The Incredible Hulk so it’s awesome to see the MCU recognize that film once again. Giancarlo Esposito also makes his debut as a character that is still unknown although there have been several fan rumors on who he is playing. One thing is for sure and that is he is not a fan of Sam.
To accompany that MCU flick, Marvel Studios also dished out a nearly 4-minute trailer for Thunderbolts* which of course doesn’t explain why the * is there but Feige did say we would have to see the film to find out. If you want to go in fresh when this one hits, then steer clear but if you’re like me, scroll below!
Florence Pugh is back as depressed assassin Yelena Belova, and she is joined by Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster. Additional cast members include Geraldine Viswanathan, Lewis Pullman as The Sentry and the one and only Harrison Ford will return as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross after he debuts in Captain America: Brave New World in February.

Jake Schreier helms all the dysfunctional chaos and action with Kevin Feige producing. Executive producers include Louis D’Esposito, Brian Chapek, Jason Tamez and Scarlett Johansson who has made nice with Disney and Marvel.
Thunderbolts* will hit theaters on May 5, 2025, and will be the final installment of Phase Five!
We’ve saved the best for last of course and now we have Tom Cruise doing Tom Cruise things and proving once again that he has truly found the Fountain of Youth. This new look at Mission:Impossible- The Final Reckoning is off the charts, and it looks like the series will go out with a bang once it finally does end. Enough talk, watch the action maestro himself do all the talking with his body and insane action design below!
Christopher McQuarrie helms Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning from a script he also co-penned with Erik Jendresen. Tom Cruise is back as super agent as Ethan Hunt with a sensational supporting cast including Angela Bassett back as CIA Director Erika Sloane, Esai Moreles, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Henry Czerny, Greg Tarzan Davis, Mariela Garriga, and Indira Varma. Newcomers to the franchise include Hannah Waddingham, Janet McTeer, Holt McCallany, Katy O’Brian, Nick Offerman, and Tramell Tillman.
