Hong Kong starlet Celina Jade is no stranger to action cinema and Hong Kong adrenaline having starred in a slew of hits such as Wolf Warrior 2 with Wu Jing, the hit CW series Arrow with Stephen Amell and Triple Threat with…well…everyone who’s anyone in action like Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais and Scott Adkins. The actress is usually in non-combative roles in these pics but that all has changed as she is front and center and kicking ass as the head of an elite spec ops unit in director Chung Siu-Hung’s (Eternal Wave) latest military actioner Operation Black Ops. The Arty Dans over at Asian Film Fans has just launched a new trailer for the film which showcases all the bullet riddled set pieces infused with cutthroat fight choreography. Scroll below to view!
Shawn Yue who has also been featured in several action flicks like the Infernal Affairs saga, Dragon Heat, Dragon Tiger Gate, Invisible Target, The Brink and more co-stars with Jade as well as Jiang Luxia who recently made a splash starring opposite Max Zhang in Wolf Pack.
The above teaser is only half a minute in length and isn’t subtitled but, once again, who cares as it’s locked and loaded with incredibly stunning and thrilling visuals and Jade running the gauntlet of set pieces executed by the famed Jackie Chan Stunt Team. The plot details are relatively unknown, but we all know that this clandestine unit of shit kickers are called in to thwart a threat to the world so cue up the blistering fist of fury infused with premiere battle action. Jade looks sensational here and definitely looks to have put in the work in regard to training and knowledge of tactical expertise.
Operation Black Ops is scheduled for a domestic Hong Kong launch on June 15th so hopefully we get a mire international release soon after!
