The first Code 8 saw one of the most successful crowd funding campaigns ever while on its way to becoming a vast success. Taken from a concept short film, the sci-fi actioner was ambitious and it thrived with solid story telling, visuals and action. Not to mention that you had not one but two Amells with cousins Robbie and Stephen Amell (The CW’s Arrow and The Flash) teaming up to battle a corrupt police state.
Now the follow up, titled Code 8: Part II, is ready to hit Netflix teasing a bigger and badder war this time around. The official trailer has just dropped and you can check out all the hi-tech savagery below!
Directed once again by Jeff Chan, the sequel takes place 5 years after the first film with Connor once again having to form an unlikely alliance with anti-hero Garrett when a teenage girl needs their help.
With a stronger and more corrupt grip on the city from the police state, the two must wage a deadly war to protect the girl as well as fellow super-powered humans caught in a lethal vice threatening the city.
The trailer is certainly impressive with a comic book vibe mixed with sci-fi thrills and larger than life set pieces.
Code 8: Part II hits Netflix on February 28th!
