I saw this coming a mile away and with the horrible box office, Lionsgate is dumping the latest Expendables movie on Digital starting this Friday, October 13th. I personally believe that Expend4bles was set up for failure from the word go and many fans already had it in their heads that they hated it even before they saw it. Negativity in action cinema is at an all time high and even with 2023 being a return to form for the genre, audiences are quick to be judgmental when it comes to the high-octane stuff.
Anyway, check out the details below for the Digital release because you know you’ll watch it again.

Old blood meets new blood in this action-packed, R-rated sequel featuring an all-star lineup, available at home on Premium Video on Demand and Premium Electronic Sell-Through on October 13 from Lionsgate. A new generation of stars join the world’s top action stars for an adrenaline-fueled adventure in Expend4bles. Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Sylvester Stallone are joined for the first time by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia. Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.
Now In Theaters, On Digital & On Demand October 13 – On Premium Video on Demand and Premium Electronic Sell-Through October 13 from Lionsgate®
I’ve been a staunch advocate in defense of this movie and even with its flaws including shoddy CGI, the lack of Stallone, the lack of added action stars, etc., it was still a violent and action packed 90’s style thrill ride which is what this franchise embraces. If this movie came out in 1995, we’d be singing it’s praises today. It just makes me laugh when someone says they hate the movie but, wait a minute, they’re still going to buy it on 4K when it comes out because they have to have them all. I’ve never bought a movie I didn’t like just to have it sit on the my shelf.
Anyway, I’m done venting for today. I think I’ll go to my cinema with the palm trees on the parking lot and watch it a third time. Boom lay BOOM everyone!
