AMERICAN SIEGE: Bruce Willis Goes to War in a Small Town in the Trailer for His Latest Action-Thriller

By: John M Jerva

So this Friday sees the release of another Bruce Willis DTV actioner as Fortress is ready to hit but of course we have a new trailer for yet another Willis vehicle and this time he looks like he’s going to get some. Well, maybe a little hopefully.

The new Film is called American Siege and it has Willis starring as a local sheriff who has to contend with a hostage situation that may be the tip of a much larger conspiracy.

Washed-up Sheriff Ben Watts (BruceWillis) guards the secrets of the wealthy residents of a small Georgia town. When three outlaws take a prominent town doctor hostage in search of a missing woman, Sheriff Watts is called in to handle the situation before the FBI arrives. In a race against time, mayor Charles Routledge (Timothy V. Murphy) pressures Sheriff Watts to launch an assault on the hostage-takers and to eliminate all witnesses. When the Sheriff realizes he may be a pawn in a larger scheme, he must carve a bloody warpath to expose the truth behind the town’s dark secrets.

Helmed by Edward Drake, the film also stars Timothy V Murphy who was last seen in Hell Hath No Fury. Other cast members include Rob Gough, Anna Hindman, Johann Urb, Cullen G. Chambers, and Trevor Gretzky.

Willis has had eleven films come out this year alone and we will have to wait and see how much screen time he has in this one. His last film Deadlock was actually not horrible, which isn’t saying much, so maybe he’ll be on a winning streak. My review of Fortress will be up tomorrow and I will say that it wasn’t as horrific as Apex. How less bad? Well you’ll have to find out.

American Siege will hit theaters, Digital & VOD on January 7th.
