We have some movement on the long delayed third Deadpool film which has been in a state of flux ever since 20th Century Fox merged with Disney and became the entity that is now 20th Century Films. Many have speculated on whether or not the film will happen and would it stand strong and stick to its R rated roots.

Well reports coming out now say that the project has found its writers to pen the script and it is on track to be R rated still. Word from Deadline is that Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux best known for the animated TV hit series Bob’s Burgers will write the script.

Per Deadline: “Writer meetings have been taking place over the past month with Reynolds recently meeting with a handful of writers to hear their pitches for the next installment. In the end, the studio and Reynolds saw the sisters’ take as the perfect fit for what they wanted. The film remains in early development, but the hiring of the Molyneux sisters does mark the first major step in getting the next Deadpool film into production.”

Reynolds is also serving as a producer and this will be the first entry where he will work with Marvel Studios. Reynolds is, of course, set to reprise the time of the Merc with a mouth and sources say that the 3rd installment will say adult oriented to say the least.

There will be a new director this time around as David Leitch, who helmed the second film, has a very busy schedule and will most likely not return this time around. Fans should take comfort in the fact that the movie won’t be softened up ever since Disney acquired the property.

With the pandemic still going on, there is no word on when production will commence but hopefully it will shoot for sometime next year.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come as we are your destination for everything action!
