While I thought Skyline was a fun little sci-fi invasion flick, it’s sequel Beyond Skylines is pure action gold from start to finish. Director Liam O’Donnell, who served as writer and producer on the first film took the driver’s seat and helmed the second film which amped up the action and fisticuffs and he returns for the third installment simply titled Skylin3e which looks just as thrilling as the former.

Bloody Disgusting broke the exclusive word earlier and also debuted a new image of the film which you can see below which shows off star Lindsey Morgan facing off against a very unfriendly alien.

The ending of the second film left things wide open as we were just about to take the fight to the aliens on their home world with a grown up Rose Corley leading the charge. Actress Lindsey Morgan played the brief role but she returns to play the lead for the third film

Official Synopsis: “When a virus threatens to wipe out Earth, a super-powered hybrid (Morgan) must lead a team of elite soldiers on a mission to the aliens’ world in order to save what’s left of humanity.”

Morgan stars alongside Jonathon Howard (Godzilla: King of Monsters), Alexander Siddig (Game of Thrones), Rhona Mitra (Underworld:Rise of the Lycans) and James Cosmo (Chernobyl). I’m most excited to see that 90’s action star Daniel Bernhardt has a role as well. Bernhardt has been having a resurgence as of late appearing in the action hits John Wick and Atomic Blonde. Bernhardt is best known for taking over the Bloodsport series from JCVD.

The plot sounds like it’ll be just as kick ass as the second film and having the war switch to the alien world is pure genius. I have a definite Aliens vibe running through me with the anticiapation of seeing elite soldiers wage war with the alien menace that has given the Earth its fair share of problems.

Vertical Entertainment has acquired the film for release and the movie will be at the American Film Market. Vertical will handle the film for the terrtitories of  North America, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

Check out my review of Beyond Skyline which happens to srat two of my favorite action actors in Frank Grillo and Iko Uwais. Even though they are not involved this time around, O’Donnell looks to have crafted yet another thrilling sci-fi action epic and you can bet that I will be providing all of you more on the film in the future including our first look at footage so keep it locked loaded right here for future updates!
