Fan service was at its peek a while back as the crowdfunding campaign for director Jeff Chan’s ultar awesome sci-fi proof of conecept short film Code 8 met its goal and then some thus making it able to turn the short into a full fledged feature film which stars cousins Robbie Amell (The CW’s Flash) and Stephen Amell (The CW’s Arrow). The film is poised and ready to hit the masses this December and we have the full length trailer and poster for all of you to feast your eyes on below!

Official Synopsis: Code 8 is set in a world where 4% of the population is born with varying supernatural abilities, but instead of being billionaires or superheroes, they face discrimination and live in poverty, often resorting to crime. Connor Reed (Robbie Amell), a power-enabled young man, is struggling to pay for his ailing mother’s (Kari Matchett) health treatment. Fighting to earn enough money as a day laborer, Connor is lured into a lucrative criminal world by Garrett (Stephen Amell) who works for Lincoln City’s reigning drug lord, Marcus Sutcliffe (Greg Bryk). Garrett helps Connor sharpen his powers in order to execute a series of crimes on behalf of Sutcliffe, while a militarized police unit, led by Agent Park (Sung Kang) and Agent Davis (Aaron Abrams), hunts them down.
Jeff Chan helms the pic which also stars The Fast And The Furious alum Sung Kang as well as Greg Bryk (Ad Astra), and Kari Matchett (Maudie).
Code 8 made its triumphant debut at the Sitges Film Festival to rave reviews and we all will be able to partake in all the cool sci-fi action next month when it hits the world.
Vertical Entertainment picked up the rights to distribute an they will be unleashing the film in select theaters and Digital on December 13th. For now, check out the trailer below and prepare yourselves for a new breed of war!
