On the heels of the major announcement that Warner Bros. and DC will not be making an appearance this year at the annual SDCC event, Marvel Studios is there to save the day as they will be there in all its glory after skipping last year’s festivities.

This is certainly good news for fans all over the world since after Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters this July, we really don’t have official confirmation of Marvel’s plans for Phase IV, although the rumor mill has been running rampant in that department. The news comes courtesy of Deadline which dropped the 411.

In terms of new projects, we do know that there will be The Eternals with Angelina Jolie supposedly leading the cast with hot casting rumors circling that one like Keanu Reeves in talks to star as well. There is also the Black Widow solo film starring Scarlett Johansson and David Harbour from Stranger Things and the ill received Hellboy reboot.

We also have Shang-Chi circling the wagons which Marvel is rumored to be looking at Aquaman’s Ludi Lin and action legend Donnie Yen for roles. Along with a Doctor Strange sequel not much else is known.

We do know that the next Phase will be more galactic in nature with Earth not playing as major of a role as it did before and Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel is reportedly taking Captain America’s place as head of the Avengers.

Marvel could also bring some much needed news on their Disney+ series which includes Loki and planned Scarlet Witch, Falcon and Winter Soldier and Hawkeye shows. There are reports that Marvel will save all series news for their upcoming Disney D23 Expo which hits a month later.

So it is intriguing to say the least just exactly what Marvel Studios will bring to the table at this years SDCC so indeed, stay tuned for more to come.
