Keanu Reeves Reportedly in Talks to Star in Marvel’s THE ETERNALS

Marvel’s The Eternals

This story is just a rumor at this point so take it with a grain of salt but it is being reported that JOHN WICK Star Keanu Reeves has entered negotiations to star in the big screen adaptation of Marvel’s THE ETERNALS according to MCU Cosmic.

The film has already cast Angelina Jolie as Sersi, Richard Madden as Ikaris and Kumail Nanjiani as Ma Dong-seok so if Reeves is added, this would be rather epic. There is no word yet as to who Reeves woulod play in the film but it is said that he woulod want a substantial role if he signs up.

The Eternals is a comic book that tells the story of a “fictional species of humanity appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are described as an offshoot of the evolutionary process that created sentient life on Earth. The original instigators of this process, the alien Celestials, intended the Eternals to be the defenders of Earth, which leads to the inevitability of war against their destructive counterparts, the Deviants. The Eternals were created by Jack Kirby and made their first appearance in The Eternals #1 (July 1976).” (Wikipedia)

Reeves was already set to star in Captain Marvel in the role of Yonn-Rogg but had to bow out due to scheduling conflicts. Jude Law took on the role in the film so it would be fitting if Reeves finally was added to the long and impressive roster of the MCU that started 11 years ago with Robert Downey, Jr. starring in IRON MAN.

Once again nothing is confirmed and Marvel is notorious for keeping a tight lipped ship so it should be interesting to see how this all plays out.
