Never shying away from trying something different, action star Scott Adkins is letting loose and playing it for laughs as well as adrenaline in his upcoming action-comedy Reckless. Adkins takes on genre icon Vinnie Jones in director Elliott Montello’s crime pic, and the kicks and punches are set to fly along with a little absurdity so check out some newly released images and not one but three posters below!
The official synopsis for Reckless reads: A former convict on parole must outwit the police to get his share of an old heist.

The movie is definitely giving off a Guy Ritchie laced vibe in the vein of Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Fans have seen Adkins go in different directions with some of his roles and this one looks to veer off the beat and path even more and will contain plenty of unapologetic humor. Personally, I feel the poster with Adkins riding a carousel horse is a chef’s kiss and punctuates visually the tone of the movie to expect perfectly. No worries though as several of the released images promise signature Adkins action as well.

Adkins stars as Devon along with Vinnie Jones playing Trent as well as Nicole Dean (Heads of State) as Kimber, Kris Johnson (Undercover Hooligan) as Jackson, Dean Gaffney as Willmott, Adam Deacon (Righteous Villains) as Kyle, Jordon Long (Kingsman: The Secret Service) as George, and veteran martial arts action star Mark Strange (Ip Man 4: the Finale, Kung Fu Games) playing Bishop. The movie was penned by Robert Kelly (Way of the Wicked) and Adkins’ longtime collaborator Stu Small who also wrote Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday, and Debt Collectors. Reckless marks the directorial debut of Elliott Montello who up till now was best known for serving as cameraman and second unit director on films like American Siege (2021) with Bruce Willis and Mob Land (2023) with John Travolta. He also worked on Lionsgate’s Clear Cut (2024) starring Clive Standen, Stephen Dorff and Alec Baldwin.
Adkins has mentioned that Reckless was going to be something less mainstream and has offbeat humor to gel with the insane action and fight choreography and his character in the movie was going to be less traditional action norm. Adkins has proven that he can throw the punchlines as hard as the action in previous outings like the Accident Man and Debt Collector movies so this one looks to be a welcomed addition to his filmography arsenal.
