I first advertised the Filipino actioner Topakk (Triggered) back in 2023 when the film was first acquired by Raven Banner and a rather lengthy and horror level trailer was dropped upon acquisition. You can check out my first two articles on the film here and here. The film which features enough blood-soaked carnage to fill two movies was also featured at that year’s Fantastic Fest to thunderous applause. I mean, I think this movie has even more gore than Netflix’s Havoc which launched last Friday if that’s even possible. Filled with enough firepower, brutal battle choreography and blood squibs to fill two action movies, this one is sure to please genre fans worldwide.
Now, the movie, after almost two years, is finally making it to the masses this May courtesy of an official Digital release via Freestyle Digital Media and fans of this style of action cinema (seriously, who isn’t though?) are in for one hell of a good time with this one. Check out the latest domestic trailer that hit the web today and prepare for body parts and blood spray galore erupting all over your large screen TV at home!
Triggered (TOPAKK) stars Arjo Atayde (Cattleya Killer) as the heroic soldier Miguel Vergara who uses everything from machine guns to machetes to dispatch his enemy with some serious extreme prejudice as he tries to protect the innocent from an army of cutthroats. I think he even uses the kitchen sink at one point. There’s no shortage of extreme fight choreography and relentless muzzle flashes so fans should get their feel and then some with this one. Julia Montes also stars as Weng Diwata with Sid Lucero pulling in double time as the film’s ruthless leader of death squad.

Here are some stills from the movie that I posted in 2023 as well!

In case you missed my initial posts on the movie, check out the original trailer that was released back in 2023 as it’s a longer, extended cut that features even more of the insane action design and violence/gore that is in the film. This one should seriously check all the boxes and scratch that itch for all things bloody and chaotic.
This one has always been on my radar and my must watch list so Lock N Load for more coverage coming later this week!
