We all knew that actress and Oscar winner Viola Davis is a bad ass. Her performance as Amanda Waller in the DC films is ice cold lethal even though she doesn’t execute any action design but the bad assery is still there. Well, Davis is going all Harrison Ford for her latest in Prime Video’s new actioner G20 and this time, she gets the opportunity to literally kick that ass. The Hans Gruber of this latest Die Hard scenario comes courtesy of The Boys’ Antony Starr. Scroll below to see Davis cut loose with some serious firepower and political swagger!
When the G20 summit comes under siege, U.S. President Danielle Sutton (Academy Award winner Viola Davis) becomes the number one target. After evading capture by the attackers, she must outsmart the enemy to protect her family, defend her country and safeguard world leaders in this action-packed thrill ride.

Patricia Riggen (The 33, Under the Same Moon, Girl in Progress) helms all the chaos from a script penned by Caitlin Parrish, Erica Weiss, Logan Miller, and Noah Miller from a story by Logan Miller and Noah Miller. Davis plays U.S. President Danielle Sutton, while Starr goes all menacing as Rutledge. Other cast members include Anthony Anderson as Derek Sutton, Marsai Martin as Serena Sutton, Ramón Rodríguez as Agent Manny Ruiz, Douglas Hodge as Oliver Everett, Elizabeth Marvel as Joanna Worth, Sabrina Impacciatore as Elena Romano, Christopher Farrar as Demetrius Sutton.
Davis has always radiated toughness and charisma along with her sex appeal and that poster is spot on to entice viewers into this one. We’ve seen this before and no one can do it better than Han Solo, but it looks like a fun and violent throwback style actioner with plenty of set pieces, action and explosions.
