Back in March, I reported that Reacher star Alan Ritchson had enlisted to star in a new sci-fi action pic titled War Machine from Expendables 3 director Patrick Hughes, the movie will be a Netflix exclusive and today we have casting announcements that will stack the cast for the adrenaline laced thriller that sees Army Ranger recruits facing an unfathomable threat during their selection process.
Per THR, Dennis Quad, Esai Morales and Jai Courtney have joined the cast along with Ritchson as well as Blake Richardson (Mystery Road), Keiynan Lonsdale (The Flash), and Daniel Webber (The Dirt). The film will commence principal photography this week in Australia and Hughes will also produce via his Huge Film production banner along with Todd Lieberman and Alex Young of Hidden Pictures. The script was penned by Hughes along with James Beaufort (Machine) from a story by Hughes.
Ritchson will, of course, headline as the lead Ranger candidate with James, Courtney, Richardson, Lonsdale, and Webber playing the other recruits who find themselves in a really tight spot that will throw them in a battle to save the world. Quaid and Morales will play their commanding officers.

War Machine’s official synopsis reads: In the final 24 Hours of the world’s toughest selection process, a team of Army Rangers encounter a threat beyond their imagination. Well, it’s a good thing that Ritchson, Courtney and the others have survived the Ranger training process because they are going to need their deadly skills to wage war.
